I'm posting this from within KNOPPIX, an easy-to-try Linux distro (if you have the bandwidth). Simply download the 700MB ISO and burn to/run from bootable cd. Tuuur wrote on 2003/01/02: @huphtur: text only mode is comparable to the dosbox: so a command prompt where only a Norton Commander-like shell is possible. Graphics mode is linux with a minimal X window-system (comparable to the M$ Windows interface); and if you actually want to _do_ something with it you need 128MB of ram. RAM is not harddisk space, it's your computer's memory.
