Bloggus Caesari is quite the entertaining read. The blog-like format provides a very fresh way to look at historical events. But why doesn't ol' Julius link to any other weblogs? I would be curious to find out what sites he likes to visit. [via Low e.a.]

Browser back button support for Flash (Flash!!) and other clever stuff at robertpenner.com. [via san630]
In lieu of actual linkage, why not try some random weblogs? (just shift-click this link a couple of times)
'quiet' - pretty lightshow at lfs.nl

Look, sideways text! Got the idea from nickd.org. This is not a .gif by the way, it's a built-in IE5.5 stylesheet property you can apply to any text. Just include it in a span like <span style="writing-mode:tb-rl;">this</span>. But don't read text like this for too long, or your neck will start to hurt...
donimo.f2s.com - new(?) weblog with a nice collection of links to other table-less sites; I'm number 0057. I like how the background and foreground colour of each link is set to reflect the colourscheme of each specific site.

Read 'Memento Mori' online - the short story that inspired the movie Memento. [via Triptych Cryptic]

When I visited L'Institut du Monde Arabe in 1995, I didn't get to see the inside. Jason and Meg did, and took photos.
A lot of blogs have comment-links for each entry, but Henso.com
adds something to this principle that I haven't seen anywhere else: next to the comment-link in question, there's a short listing of names of the people who have already commented. Very simple yet very handy - might try it myself.

Kristoff posts an amazing optical illusion (focus on the black dot while moving your head towards and away from the monitor).

Annoyed by those big ads in CNET articles like this one? Try this bookmarklet: Hide ads (drag to Links-bar). It'll hide any IFRAMEs and any standard 468x60 banner IMGs on the current page.

Votémon - the British election explained, Pokémon-style. The most amazing thing about it is the person-logo hybrids that appear for a fraction of a second when you click 'Tell me about [party name].' [via Interconnected]
Leuk, een Nederlandse weblogmap op 't Boogblog!

asthana.co.uk - nice collection of clever fast loading Flash experiments. [via Alt0169]

Review of IHT redesign - the International Herald Tribune website has a pretty neat DHTML interface, unlike any other online newspaper site. This review tells how it came about. [via lgf]
In case you were wondering, the graphic above is a cropped, desaturated, faded version of this photograph.

I'm not quite sure about the naming and division of the boards in the forum, but 'Coding - Graphics - Whatever' was the best I could come up with right now.
Another good link via danelope: Starfleet Chronology, very extensive, complete with episode references.
