Night photography is fun!

Yeah, especially when it's foggy weather, wow. The next time the fog hits I must remember to check out the Erasmusbrug.

Gonna do a dayshoot (weather and light permitting) on Noordereiland this week. Also a good location for nightshots of the Erasmusbrug?
Merry New Year and Happy X-mas!

Thanks frenchy, happy holidays to you too! I've never actually made any nightshots of the Erasmusbrug yet, hmm, really should try it some time.

Wow. This photo is really haunting & captivating. There's something mysterious about the light coming from the back of the picture. It looks like a still from a film....

ho ho ho hat Flickr easter egg

There's a great easter egg (or should that be christmas egg) in the Flickr note script... This morning I was quite surprised to see that a santa hat had suddenly appeared in one of my photos! It turns out that if you add a note with the text ho ho ho hat to a photo, a santa hat will appear. You can even stretch it to proportion. Similarly, a note with ho ho ho beard will make a big gray santa beard appear.

(I checked the Flickr notes.js to see if there were any other special codes, but these two seem to be it.)

I ask myself why this doesn't come standard in Windows, just like closing tabs with the middle mouse button like in Firefox. Oh well.

This makes my head hurt. Very impressive, and only on teh Internets can one obsess (mainly) about one line of code and find its origins so easily.

2. posted by Milo at 13:44 on December 03, 2006

Yeah, that's what I love about this. That a bit of code can be part of history and legend, to the point where people go on virtual archeological excursions to find out more about it.
