The critics could not believe that such a complex mechanism could evolve through a natural process. Darwin thought it could; If the transitions from simple to complex eyes could prove that every step is useful then the difficulty in believing in natural selection is not contrary to my theory.

The 5th looks like the animal have some contact lens :) with what seems to be the retina misaligned with the pupil.
