I'm a 33-year-old freelance webdeveloper and photographer living near The Hague, The Netherlands.
This is my personal weblog, where I often post selections of my favourite photos.
Sometimes I make art with code.
Mail me at milovermeulen at gmail dot com.
Pausing for a brief second to get this shot while crossing the street almost got me run over by a car. And I didn't even notice the girl at the time; I shot this sideways without really looking, simply hoping to get a nice shot of the street :)
After the first night at the hostel, I got up at 6:30 in the morning and just started exploring the beautiful quiet city for a bit... Getting out of station Alexanderplatz I spotted this kid.
I was in Berlin for three weeks last February and absolutely loved it. It's like my Ghent, only about 6 times as big and 12 times as cool. :-) (More dirty, though. A lot more dirty.)
The pictures on my site are always a set size. So I never really had any vertical pictures on my site.
Maybe I should just put one online like this one. Make a diagonal picture, or just put the image on its side.
I've posted plenty of vertical pictures (see http://milov.nl/tag/tall ) but funnily enough I never considered rotating this one like that; it simply seems more 'right' this way. Since I shot it backwards without looking at the screen, there is no actual mental reference view anyway.

It was me who led the the Chinese Ice Sculpture Team to make the indoor ice Sculpture shows in Holland. Up to now, I have made the show 8 times, four times in Haren and 4 times in Madurodam. I would be pleased to develop the show to pakistan and else where in the world. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask me.
Sincerely,
Yan Liansheng

Actually, before you walk into the giant freezer (kept at -10 degrees Celcius), you're handed these body warmers. And upon exiting you're supposed to give them back (or so I figured out despite being blinded from my suddenly fogged-up glasses).
Oh, nice. There was a similar thing here in Bruges (see my link) last January. We sure didn't get no warmers, no-sirrie!
Do you also think of somewhat random yet still related Google queries when you look at things? I thought: hey, I wonder if there's anyone who punned "Invasion of the Body Warmers" before. (There is.)
