I've almost completely done away with the automated spambots via some clever filtering, but this damn manual spammer ended up on my site by doing a Google search for
The colors and composition are gorgeous. It seems you have duplicated the picture, applied a blur and set its opacity to ~33% in Photoshop. Am I wrong ?
Your instincts are very good. I applied a Gaussian blur to the duplicate layer, then set its mode to Overlay, then reduced the opacity (don't remember by how much). I did the same thing to http://milov.nl/2680 (very subtly) and http://milov.nl/2709 (not so subtly).
Oh yeah I've decided to use the name Milo above my comments from now on...

nice how a certain time of day combined with a certain arrangement of furniture can unexpectedly make a perfect square of light appear on the wall... (see also: 2455)

FWIW, I didn't notice it until palla mentioned it. But you can see *any* sort of pattern in fractally shapes like clouds and trees, if you look hard enough.
I have to say that this picture is really quite smart, its so simple, yet curiously hypnotic- congrats- try submitting it to an art place they might think its 'just full of the "je ne sais quoi"' and give you like 100000000 dollars lol
I don't know if I've ever mentioned this before, but you are a really outstanding photographer. I like both your style, subject choices, and technique. You really know how to come up with striking photos.

Wow... Don't see that very often.
Having a relatively uncommon name means that when I see it it's usually because I wrote it or it refers to me. But apparently I'm not the only Milo in my neighborhood. :)
