Going shopping at night??

2. posted by Milo at 11:53 on November 28, 2006

Hi Silena, formerly known as "Robert". This was early evening, not really that late :) We had to get some souvenirs and food for the trip back the next day.

Also, it took me a while to figure it out, but now I see that those weird vacation-related blog urls that you have been leaving under various names lately are indeed a lame kinda spam attempt to get hits to your travel agency. I will most likely be deleting any future comments from you.

I like black-and-white photography. The perspective is great - there is a feeling that the ceiling with those lamps is exactly above the head.

NAI in green

Like seemingly every other Rotterdam Flickr user does at one point, I finally got some pictures of these cool lights at the NAI!!

Also, I'm experimenting with a new photo interface, serving 1024px-wide jpegs of my photos live from flickr.com via milov.nl/flickr/275545243-style urls. Still trying to figure out how to best go about structuring things so I don't have to upload and tag photos twice (once on flickr and once here).

1. posted by Jan! at 12:08 on October 24, 2006

Tag them on flickr with "as seen on milov.nl" and poll your flickr feed regularly to see which flickr photos to copy over.

Or, the other way round: tag them here with "as seen on flickr".

Love those lights, by the way!

2. posted by Milo at 12:49 on October 24, 2006

> Tag them on flickr with "as seen on milov.nl" and poll your flickr feed regularly

That's a great idea, actually!

3. posted by Jan! at 13:38 on October 24, 2006

Yeah, that's how do it on my own blog.

4. posted by toph at 20:52 on November 01, 2006

Simply set IPTC tags in the jpeg file itself. Flickr picks all of them up (e.g. headline, caption and tags). You should be able to do likewise in your own scripts. Tag once in Photoshop, Irfanview or whatever and replicate identically. I've do scripted tag reading in PHP using exifer by Jake Olefsky, but most of the time I don't bother to set the tags properly any more.
