I don't know what happend, just wroke up one day, got online and realize my Ctrl+enter doesn't work. Usually when I press Ctrl+enter it will type out "www. .com" on IE for me, which make much easier for me. So can someone help me? How to make Ctrl+enter do that again? |

Go to Tools -> Internet Options -> Content -> Auto Complete and make sure 'Web addresses' is checked.

Try these: "Tools | Internet Options | Content (tab)" and click "AutoComplete" and check the "Web addresses" option. AND "Tools | Internet Options | Advanced (tab)" and scroll down and check the "use inline AutoComplete" option. If the above doesn't work, try modifying the registry: Under HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Explorer\Auto Complete the value of the "Use AutoComplete" should read "yes" [sans the quotes] for the keyboard shortcut [CTRL]+ [ENTER] - which enter the "http://"; and ".com" values in the address bar - to be activated. |

I'm having a simular problem. When I hit "Ctrl-Enter", I get redirected to SEARCH.FINDSALL.INFO instead getting auto-complete. It is sooooo annoying. Any ideas?

you should go to "Tools","Internet Options","Advance" and then scroll down and make sure that the "use inline AutoComplete" option is checked. |

I had that problem too and it was really ticking me off! I found that at the bottom of that stupid "search.findsall.info" page there is a clickable item for deactivating quicksearch - that did the trick for me...

Thanks guys, all this works like a charm, the question is why did these two items deselect in the first place. "Tools | Internet Options | Content (tab)" and click "AutoComplete" and check the "Web addresses" option. AND "Tools | Internet Options | Advanced (tab)" and scroll down and check the "use inline AutoComplete" option. |

findsall from new.net can be turned off by clicking the 'about our annoying service' link at the bottom and then clicking on the link. quite how this got on my computer in the first place I will never know. makes you wonder what else is set up in the box... |

Is there away to change the prefix and suffix when CTRL+ENTER is used? I.E. instead of adding .com at the end I want it to add .com.ch |

My problem is that the "http://www." and ".com" get added, but then I'm immediately forwarded to a lycos search unless I quickly hit the "Go" button. How do I stop this from happening?

Regarding John, it takes you to lycos because you have spyware. :-/ I had the same problem, it took me forever to get rid of it. Ad-aware doesn't help too much. But you could try. I eventually had to reformat. Then on the first day with my reformatted my computer, my idiot sister downloaded it again. So told my family "Screw you" (not really) and I dual booted my computer. So now, one windows for me, and another for them. They can install as many spyware and adware items as they want :-P It won't affect me.

I have a problem with my enter key after opening Internet Explorer. If I open internet explorer and then close it with out using Task manager to close it my enter key doesn't work and if I open task manager I see 11 I.E.'s open....But I only opened one. I just turned the computer on one day and it started doing this. Does anyone know of any way to stop this?

Thanks guys! I've been wondering how to get that to work again... you don't realize how useful it is until you can't use it anymore! I had been without it for like 6 months... and it was annoying the hell outta me! I dunno what happened!! One day I woke up, and it quit working! Oh well, now I know where to check. Thanks again!

I am having trouble with my enter key. It seems to work fine till I get on the internet. It stops working once I’m off. If I reboot I seem to be fine but as soon as I enter the internet I’m back to the same problem. Can anyone explain what I can do to correct this problem.

Nellie and Fred, I was told that spyware could cause your enter key not to work after leaving the internet so I dounloaded a free SpyBot S&D program and it did help. Go to Snapfiles.com go to find, type in spybot and then get the free download. It may help you

Is there anyone that have found out where to change the suffix added when pressing CTRL + ENTER in IE? I have a swedish version of IE and it adds .sv instead of .com as I prefer.
