Unicode Characters as Named and Numeric HTML Entities [via]

A lot of these would be fun to use as alternative for graphics in a minimal coding compo.

I just wrote a local script to generate a view of all existing Unicode characters in one big page. Lots of weird and wonderful symbols in there... Try zooming in on some of these: ※ ϗ Ϙ ϙ Ϛ ϛ Ϝ ϝ Ϟ ϟ Ϡ ϡ Ϣ অ இ ⊕ ⊖ ⊗ ⊘ ⊙ ⊚ ⊛ ⊜ ⊝ ▁ ▂ ▃ ▄ ▅ ▆ ▇ █ ▉ ▊ ▋ ▌ ▍ ▎ ▏ ▐ ░ ▒ ▓ 〠 ︵ ︶ ︷ ︸ ︹ ︺ ︻ ︼ ︽ ︾ ︿ ﹀ ﹁ ﹂ ﹃ ﹄

I miss some characters. If I mark the working characters by * and the missing ones by /, I get :

* / / / * / * / * / * / / / / * * * * * * * * * / * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / /

and

/ / / / / / / / / / / * * * * / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / / * * * * * * / / * * * * * * * / / / / / * / / / / / / * / / / / / / /

Hmm, that might be because I have some more asian character sets installed than you. Guess it's not so wise to depend on these to appear to all users, then.

Off-topic:
You just totally reminded me of http://www.iotic.com/ 's moiré animations... :)

I always click through all characters:

The Milo interface for easy browsing probably is punycode subdomains, e.g. http://xn--wkr.drunkmenworkhere.org/
