November 2004

Currently installed Firefox extensions:
ChromEdit, ColorZilla, IEView, View Cookies, Linky, Digger, Add Bookmark Here, Autohide, Go Up, Undo Close Tab and EditCSS.

Of these, Undo Close Tab is the one I miss the most after every fresh new Firefox install. Always a shock if I find out too late I've forgotten to install it... :)

Add Bookmark Here is a recent discovery that I'm liking a lot. It really takes the frustration out of trying to add a bookmark to a specific (sub)folder.

Thanks for suggesting ColorZilla! A colorpicker is what I've been missing in my browsers since I don't know when. Never figured to look for an extension.

Man, I was looking for something like that 'Go Up' thing for ages! Thanks!

huphtur: heh, I was avoiding the webdeveloper extension because I didn't like the extra toolbar taking up space; I only now realized I could turn it off and use the Tools -> Web Developer menu instead :)

Waaw, thanks for letting me discover EditCSS!

milov: you could even make your own shortcuts. and you dont need EditCSS anymore.

milov: I just installed Firefox today. Yes, that web developer tool bar is crowding my view. How do you turn it off? Clicking on "Disable" in Tools? I can't find my IE Favorites which I thought were imported into Firefox Bookmarks. Lots to explore, I added 15 extensions from the Mozilla site. I wrote down your list given here.

Took me a while to figure it out as well, but all it takes is right-clicking any of the Firefox toolbars and disabling 'Web Developer Toolbar' in the little popup menu that appears.

check out all the new features of version 0.9 of the web developer extension:

Linky is the extension I add first after a fresh install.
