This kind of vertical lensflare always disappears when taking photos in regular photo mode, but by making a movie clip and grabbing one frame, I was able to capture it.

Fidel wrote on 2005/05/26:: Well with the nature of light it could be a number of things, including refraction of clouds, refraction angle of the sun on the atmosphere, season.. Even from my limited knowledge of ccd arrangement, I don't think that would have anything to do with it. I think the reason he got it at all might have to do with the way a digital camera would be continously capturing info.
